The Christmas excitement has faded, but the mood is bright and cheerful! The first week of the year brought chips, candies, eggs and rice to our kids.
During the onset of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Sunshine Club delivered food and other essential items through our Sunshine Sundays Drive. This drive was sustained successfully up to this day.
Weekly, through the generosity of our regular and monthly donors, we have accompanied the 60 children and their immediate family members in this time of need. Many of our donors come from a network of generous souls from family members, friends, neighboring schools, non-government organizations, school and parish clubs and food companies. Our scholars are selected and individually assisted by committed sponsors. All our monetary donations are used for the purchase and delivery of food items, school supplies and other essentials.
To all of you who have supported us through these years, we extend our heartfelt gratitude. Your donations give our mariginalized families hope, and may this hope lead to changed and better lives.
We're giving the basics --- rice and powdered milk. Alternative option are packs of soya milk, and for a bit of a snack, the kids received treats from the bakery.
Regular donation of rice and eggs were distributed this week, as well as a pack of chocolate-flavoured powder milk.
An early Chinese New Year celebration with a box of yummy 'tikoy'!!! As always, rice and milk accompanied the treat.
Eggs, rice, milk, bread from the bakery, and lots of green vegetables!
