Greetings! I am Juliet Javier, one of the replacement children while I was in grade two.
As a 'Sunshine kid', many doors opened to me. One of these was the door to gaining 'confidence'. This is only one of the many doors that led me to develop my friendly nature, abilities, and most of all gaining initiative and ambition.
I started as a quiet and timid child in the club. Through the passing of time, I grew up and opened myself to all opportunities that were presented to me. I am ever so thankful to what Sunshine Club has taught me, through the help of all sponsors, volunteers, and of course, Tita Nini.
As I stepped into a new chapter in my studies, I brought with me all the knowledge and values that Sunshine Club has given me. My world started to spin; the quiet, timid child evolved into an enthusiastic young adult filled with big dreams and hope! I was nominated as a representative to a competition(ESP) in school. I took an active role in the biggest theater club in our school, and battled out with other talents in dance and acting competitions. I was president of the ESP Club. Through time, I continued to receive acknowledgement and recognition in my talents in each competition I participated in school. Most of all, I had been a consistent honor student, and awarded the 'Most Civic Spirited Student' upon graduation.
Sunshine Club had a massive influence in who I am as a person - my character and my attitude in life, and this flows through me up to this day. Though it has been a while since my Sunshine Club days, though we may not see each other for a long time, Sunshine Club will always remain in my heart. I am honestly proud to be a 'Sunshine kid'. Many thanks, may many more blessings come your way, God bless you all.
Mabuhay!
More blessings to come, God bless you all.
